2nd Night of Back-to-Back Brings MJ’s BobCats to the UC

The Charlotte Bobcats have won 3 games this season, while the Bulls have lost three. Think about that for a second…

Charlotte Team Stats:

  • 1st in opponents ppg allowed at 101.73
  • 4th in opponent FG% .462
  • 9th in opponent 3FG% .356
  • 30th in pt. differential at -10.66
Charlotte is like the New Orleans Hornets. When I watch these teams, they are working so hard and rest assured, they are battling teams in stretches. They are just not good enough to close teams out. I’m actually surprised to find that Charlotte has only won three games. Its just kind of unbelievable.

Point Guard D.J. Augustin Kemba Walker Cory Higgins
Shooting Guard Gerald Henderson Matt Carroll Reggie Williams
Small Forward Tyrus Thomas Derrick Brown Corey Maggette Eduardo Najera
Power Forward Boris Diaw D.J. White Bismack Biyombo
Center DeSagana Diop Byron Mullens

Latest victims of the condensed schedule

It hasn’t been announced officially yet, and I’m not sure about why there is drama surrounding this, but I’m assuming the MVP will again rest. Hoping to see him on the bench, however he might prove to be a distraction for teammates. I’m actually worried with Taj being out for this one. Tyrus is athletic and can bother Booz. I’d like to be able to go to Taj for some offensive/defensive matchups at the 4. Maybe we see Deng and Jimmy on the floor together? Hey we need all hands on deck here. Thibs is going to have to unleash Jimmy, he’s a gamer and he stays ready to play.

Augustin and Kemba will have to be well defended. Their stats don’t show it, but they can both hit big shots. Henderson is also someone who can get hot. They’ve got 6 guys averaging double figures… We’ve got five and CAN be anemic offensively, so Bulls definitely need to defend the perimeter.

Look for the Bulls to do better defensively tonight. Thibs was none too happy about Bulls giving up close to 100 pts. to Phoenix the other night. Also, Bobcats are hungry for a win, and always play the Bulls tough. Let’s watch out for the trap game. Gotta keep the win train rolling…

I’ll be in-game tweeting from @ChiTwnBullsBlog so follow me for updates! Take care, let’s go get this win and LET’S GO!!!!!

Note: A win tonight surely keeps us atop the NBA Power Rankings lists, regardless of what happens tonight between Miami and Philly.
